hi kids.

in the interest of fairness, i feel i must take a moment to warn you of possible misunderstandings, grudges, hurt feelings, and vendettas that may develop as a result of your reading the following entries.

now, i’m not saying that i talked shit about you, but it’s possible. try to understand that this whole thing is supposed to be an experiment in honesty and, let’s face it, self-indulgence. lord knows i try to be candid with you people in our everyday interactions. there ARE times, however, when i keep things to myself....when i can’t find the words or i’m not clear about what i want to express, as i’m sure happens to you from time to time.

i’m not going to write about every picky detail of your lives, or even of my life, for that matter. but when i do decide that i need to expound on something, i’m going to do so in as clear and forthright a manner as i can. (names will be changed to protect...well, i guess mostly to protect myself.) if you find something that pisses you off, if you take issue with my perspective on something or if you simply want to respond to something you read here, i welcome the opportunity to hear what you have to say.

but if you don’t think you want to take a chance of being upset, then my advice to you is to skip these pages all together.

as one of you once said to me: “you’re a good person to have in my life, melysa...but you ARE a little bit dangerous.”
